I am Alive

Yes, I'm alive. I just haven't had much to say. Not that today is any different. Tom and I traveled to Loudenville, Ohio on Wednesday to stay at Landoll's Mohican Castle. What a fabulous getaway. With our schedules, we never (and I mean NEVER) get to spend a full 24 hours together. We stayed in the Thering Suite. Beautiful. Tom kicked my butt in a rousing game of Sorry, and we spent time just relaxing.

Then we came home. I got the call from Kristen about Ray. I was stunned and upset. We aren't supposed to be visiting friends in the hospital for serious issues. But maybe we're not as young and spry as we used to be. It does make you think - that's for sure. I think some life changes are on the way in the St. Angelo house. I have too many things I want to do in my life to worry about being healthy enough to do it.

I wish and hope nothing but the best for Ray! I will do all I can to help Kristen out, because I couldn't even imagine what she is thinking. What a roller coaster. Everything will be ok. It will all be fine "with a little help from my friends" (as Chad pointed out is so appropriate).

She said nothing but sweet things about you Christie, not that I didn't know you had it in you. I liked you right away, as soon as I met you. And it helps that you laugh at my jokes. I'm glad you were there for both of them. Personally, I feel so far away from it all and wish I could do/should be doing more, but I'm so glad there are people like you in their life and in this world.

I just look briefly at the website for the castle -- till you told us about it, I didn't even know of it. I have to check that out someday! Thanks!

I map quested the directions and you turn on to Bob's road or something to get there...was it hard to find? Had you been there before? Is this where you originally wanted to get married?

It was not too hard to find. Once you get out there, there are signs to guide the way. I would suggest trying to find it in daylight. We were there at night. Use the directions on their website. That's what I did. We had never been there, and I just happened upon the site when I was searching the internet. So, this was the first I had ever heard of it.
