In Memory

One year ago today I was sitting in a hospital room with my grandma. She had been admitted in the hospital and the prognosis was not good. My aunt had come from Colorado, and we were all taking our turn at the hospital. My mom and aunt had gone home to rest for a minute and have something to eat. I arrived and my grandma looked horrible. She had not woken up since the night before. When she was awake, she wasn't really with it. It was so hard to watch a woman who worked until she was 75 be so helpless. So, I sat with her. I held her hand. I told her it was ok - if she was hurting that we we would be ok. Tears quietly ran down my face as I whispered to her. Then, I couldn't hear her breathing. She was having such a hard time when I came in that it was a significant difference. I was so scared. She wasn't breathing and I was alone. I ran into the hallway and got a nurse. I wasn't necessarily scared that she was dying. I was scared that no one was here, and I knew my mom and aunt would want to be there to say goodbye. The nurse came back in with me and checked the vitals. They weren't good. She told me to sit with my grandma and hold her hand and comfort her as she was about to slip away. I tried to call my mom, but her phone was busy. All I could think to myself is - Who doesn't have call waiting. Seriously. I called my sister and reached her. What I said is a bit of a blur. She was in Fairport eating dinner and was rushing to be with me. I remember telling her that grandma was gone. No one in my family had ever died before. At least not anyone close to me. I sat with her as tears continued to flow. I told her it would be ok and I was here with her. I remember her taking one more breath, and then she was quiet. I knew the worst was to come. Everyone would be coming here and it would be awful. I shared a beautiful moment of peace with my grandma that no one will ever understand. I called my mom's one last time. It rang. I handed the phone to the nurse because I just couldn't tell my mom that her mom was dead. The nurse told my mom to get there right away. She then said that she was going to clean up the room before everyone arrived. I stepped out to get some air. In the middle of all this I called Tom and knew he was on his way. As I stepped out of the elevator, my brother, his wife, and daughter were walking in just to visit grandma. When they saw me they knew. My sister-in-law grabbed me. As we hugged, Tom walked in. I ran to him and he held me tighter than he ever had before. He took me outside for some air. As we were standing outside, my mom and aunt pulled up. As my brother had known by looking at me, so did my mom and aunt. They screamed and cried no. My mom fell to the ground. I had never seen grief like that in my life. I was so hurt for them. My aunt grabbed my hand and forced me up to her room because I don't think she really believed it. My mom couldn't bring herself to go in the room. I had to hold her up. I was so sad for my mom. My aunt kept grabbing me and yelling, "The baby, The baby. She had to go through this all on her own." I assured her I was ok and that grandma went peacefully. Which she did.

The whole experience showed me how strong I really am. I held my aunt together, which is not an easy task. My motto and mantra for the family was "power through". I knew there were certain things that we needed to do and none were going to be easy. Today, we are all ok. Still sad, but ok. I miss my grandma. I wish I could call her one more time. Sit with her for one more hour. Have her send me home with a box of crafts just once more. Don't we all when we lose someone? I have verbalized this story very little. Like I said, I've never had lost someone close to me, let alone had to watch it happen. The pastor at my grandma's church hugged me the day of the funeral and told me that I was chosen. Chosen by my grandma and the angels to escort her to heaven. I like to think so.

I love you grandma.

To My Husband

Tomorrow, Tom will turn 29. We will be busy on our birthday adventure tomorrow, so I wanted to take some time to write a tribute to the man who has changed my life.

I have had my share of bad relationships (but hasn't everyone). I wanted to find that one person that would make my world complete, and I didn't think I was ever going to find it. Then, I met Tom. I was actually dating a friend of his. One night, said friend was stopping by and asked if I minded that Tommy St. Angelo stop by too. I said no, and since I was living with my sister at the time, thought maybe they could hang out. Well, they showed up, and Tom and my sister sat awkwardly on a love seat. It wasn't looking like a love connection. Looking back, it really was hilarious. They both looked so uncomfortable. They still joke about it today. Then, 4th of July came and I was at a party with said friend. Lo and behold, so was Tom. We spent the entire evening debating and having great conversation. Both of us had a bit too much to drink and the friend had to drive us home. Tom sat in the back of my little red Cavalier, and I was in the passenger seat. When I've had a bit to drink, I think that I can have my own personal concert with the radio. So, I started belting out the song, and Tom said, "Is that an angel up there singin'?" (Insert slight southern accent having just moved from N. Carolina). I smiled on the inside for the first time in a long time.

A few days later, I decided that I wanted to go out with Tom. I got up enough courage (translation: drank 5 beers) and went to his house. I knocked on the door and asked him if he had plans later and if he wanted to grab a few beers. He accepted....the rest is history.

Well, it wasn't always easy. Everyone has their troubles when they are first dating - you have to work out all the wrinkles. In June we were married. It was the happiest day of my life. I didn't know it was possible to have someone love me so much, and for me to love them equally in return. We are a team. He saved me. I was struggling with depression and drinking. I hated myself and my life. He changed all that.

To most people, Tom is quiet, shy, and laid back. To me, he is hilarious, intelligent, and well spoken. I don't think people knew what to make of us when we were first dating. How could this work? We are so different. But we're not. He makes me laugh. I find myself giggling like a little kid in bed when we are just talking. I am able to be myself - completely. He doesn't judge me, but rather gives his honest opinion. I know he will always tell me the truth. He helps me be a better person - a stronger person. I don't let people walk on me anymore - well, at least not as much as I used to. I believe in who I am and what I have to offer people. All because of him.

I am so proud of my husband. He is thoughtful and careful. He plans. He works hard. He researches. He has a goofy side (that I think I see more than anyone). I sometimes say he is like having a good girlfriend for a roommate. He indulges my whims and gives me advice. He is an amazing father to his daughter, and it lets me geta glimpse into what he will be like with our kids. Taryn loves her dad, and he loves her so much. I don't know how he deals with her being so far away, but he manages to be a great dad even when she is hundreds of miles away - when my dad couldn't do it living in the same town. Taryn is a lucky girl to have Tom for her daddy.

I love him more everyday, and even though he hates his birthday, I celebrate it. It gives me the chance to celebrate him and the person that he is.

I love you, Tom. Happy Birthday!

Thank you Tam

St. Angelo-Lickin' Good.

Yep, that was my slogan at the Sloganizer. Of course it was.

And this one....

It's That Christie Feeling.

I could play with this all afternoon...but alas, I must work.

Ode to a Hairlip and Mandy Moore

I can't believe frickin Kevin is still on American Idol. Actually, I can. Somewhere along the line, people started to feel sorry for ol' Kev, and voted. Blech. I can't explain to anyone how much I can't stand that kid. If he were a cute character on a sit com, ok, I'd buy it. However, I can't stand the way he sings, and I can't even stand to look at him when he performs. I don't know why I have such a distain, but I do. I hope he gets kicked off this next week. I won't be able to take it. I was shocked that Gidion (or however you spell it) went home. While he was creepy, he is CERTAINLY BETTER THAN KEVIN. Ugh.

On the Mandy Moore/Will Makar front...you be the judge.

In other news...

1. My back is fine. I got some preliminary results from the doc and everything was normal. So, my personal explanation is that I'm too fat to support my own body. Apparently, people who carry their weight in their stomach area are at risk for back trouble. So, Tam you weren't that far off with your idea that it's my big rack. It may very well be part of the issue. So, I am working on those issues. No more fatty mcfat for me!

2. I am going back to Hiram in April or the Summer. I didn't really have it in me to transfer again, so I'm sticking it out. I said I wasn't going to tell anyone and do this just for me, but we all know I'm incapable of that.

3. We have an exciting weekend planned with good friends and family. I look forward to a good time, lots of pics, and lots of stories. That requires me, however, to clean my apartment. One big project will be removing cat hair from the futon so people can sleep on it. I swear I can make another cat from the hair I clean EVERY weekend.

4. Work is great! I love my job. I haven't said that in awhile, but I really do.

I think that is all for now. I'm sure I will have more to post about later, and since it is Friday, I may have the time to do it later.

Have a great weekend (in case I don't post).

Thoughts on a Friday

On Monday, I met Toni Morrison. It was cool. It was only for like 5 seconds, but I got to shake her hand and say how nice it was to meet her. I have been helping an old boss of mine with a project she is working on and so is Ms. Morrison. It was very cool. The only other famous people I have met (besides artists) were the members of White Zombie (minus Rob Zombie), and I have to say I actually enjoyed Toni Morrison more even if it was for only a second. I don't care too much about White Zombie.

I have started eating healthier. I promised myself for one month that I will not eat cheese, oil or butter. By the way, a lot of things have that stuff in it. I am doing well. Granted, it has only been 3 days, but I notice a huge difference already in the way I feel. I am more focused at work, and I actually feel like doing things when I get home. Tom and I joined the YMCA and were really good about going, but he is worried about me doing too much with my back issues (see below). However, I think I can use the elliptical or swim. Either of those shouldn't hurt me. So, I think I will go tomorrow morning to Aqua Aerobics. I'm sure I will be the youngest person there by about 40 years, but I'm gonna groove with the grannies.

My back....I have had issues with my back for some time. Only now has it gotten to the point where it hurts every day. It used to be just when I was on my feet for a long time, or rearranged my furniture, or cleaned the house. Now, it hurts with everything I do. Not just a little hurt. Like, take my breath away hurt. So, I have been seeing doctors for the past 2-3 months still trying to figure out what it is. I had an MRI on Tuesday. Boy, was that weird. It wasn't too bad, though. I am not claustrophobic, so it didn't bother me. Hopefully, I will find something out and not have to have surgery. This is also another reason why I am trying to be healthier. I know part of the problem with my back is my weight. If I can solve part of the issue myself and take away this pain....I will.
So, the girl gave me my pics from the MRI, "for my records". They do me no good. I looked at them as soon as I got home, and I had no idea what I was looking at. I don't know what I thought I would see. Surprise! I'm not a doctor. Oh, well. I am waiting patiently for a follow up with the doc.

On a lighter note, I too am looking forward to the Oscars. I haven't seen hardly any of the movies, but I would like to try to see a few this weekend. Below are my picks in Kristen's pool.

I am Alive

Yes, I'm alive. I just haven't had much to say. Not that today is any different. Tom and I traveled to Loudenville, Ohio on Wednesday to stay at Landoll's Mohican Castle. What a fabulous getaway. With our schedules, we never (and I mean NEVER) get to spend a full 24 hours together. We stayed in the Thering Suite. Beautiful. Tom kicked my butt in a rousing game of Sorry, and we spent time just relaxing.

Then we came home. I got the call from Kristen about Ray. I was stunned and upset. We aren't supposed to be visiting friends in the hospital for serious issues. But maybe we're not as young and spry as we used to be. It does make you think - that's for sure. I think some life changes are on the way in the St. Angelo house. I have too many things I want to do in my life to worry about being healthy enough to do it.

I wish and hope nothing but the best for Ray! I will do all I can to help Kristen out, because I couldn't even imagine what she is thinking. What a roller coaster. Everything will be ok. It will all be fine "with a little help from my friends" (as Chad pointed out is so appropriate).

Thanks Kristen

Yeah, so I have my massotherapy appointment in about 5 minutes. I have spent all morning pondering words that Kristen said to me on Saturday. Upon learning that I was doing massotherapy she said, "Aren't you afraid you'll fart." I wasn't...until today. Thanks.

Thanks for the lecture lady!

So the best part of my weekend was seeing Harry Potter with Kristen. She wanted to see it one more time before it left the theater and I was the only person she had not seen it with. We both giggled at the same parts and got excited at the same parts etc. It was magical. Everything about the day was magical until Kristen thought it would be a good idea to pick a fight in the theater after the movie had ended. To her defense, there was a mother and two very small children sitting behind us. Well, one the girls stood leaning against Kristen's chair the ENTIRE movie chewing gum in her ear. The other child coughed the ENTIRE movie. I don't mean like a little kid cough, but full blown smoker's cough! It was rather frightening. So, I knew it was only a matter of time before Kristen blew her stack and yelled at this woman. We've all read her posts and how she feels about social graces. So, the movie ends, and I immediately try to engage her in a conversation, hoping to make it out of the theater. So I say, "it was so good. I'm glad I saw the movie." Kristen says, "Yeah, I like it to. I would have like it better (louder and louder), IF SOME PEOPLE COULD LEARN TO CONTROL THEIR CHILDREN." I continue to try and engage her in conversation, but then the woman in front of us pipes up and decides to tell Kristen, "Well, it IS a children's movie." But then agreed that children should be removed from the theater. Then asks Kristen if she has any children. Kristen replies, "No, and thanks for the lecture lady." Now, I am about as non-confrontational as they come, so I was probably more worried about things than I needed to be. However, Kristen had to use the potty before we left, and I waited outside (secretly hoping the girl didn't jump out and beat my ass). So, I decide to peek around the corner to see if Kristen was on her way out. I end of looking directly into the eyes of "the girl". I am now worried that there will be an altercation in the bathroom. Thankfully, no altercations.

The rest of the night was filled with Texas Tea and steak. MMMM. MMMM. Good.

Full of Shit....literally.

Well, I never have anything cool or funny to write about...until today. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday for a myriad of things including some lower back pain. The doctor thought I may have some damage for the gymnastics I did as a kid. So, she ordered an x-ray. Harmless enough, right? Well, not really.

When she came back from reading the x-ray, she had a shit-eatin' (pun intended) grin on her face. She said, "Well, the good news is, you don't have arthritis. But...you are full of poop. You are blocked all the way abover your rib cage. I could see it in the x-ray." She acted appalled that someone could have so much and not realize it, or be in any pain. So, I think to myself, "You know, this could only happen to me. I go and try and take care of something that has been bothering me and I end up having to take a colon cleanse. Only me." So, on my way home I stopped and CVS and bought the 10oz. bottle of Magnesium Citrade, some wrapping paper, and my other prescriptions and headed home to settle in for an anticipated LONG night. I had prepared myself and rented a couple of movies and thought it would be the perfect time to get my Christmas wrapping completed. I got home, took a deep breath and downed the bottle. I drank my water as instructed and then......I waited. And waited. And waited. Now and then a rumble would happen and I would leap off the floor and run to the bathroom. Nothing. I waited and waited some more. It was around 9PM that the fun started. I thought that picking up Tom from work at 12:30 AM would be safer than trying to go around at 8, 9, or 10. I figured by 12:30, I would be done. I was mistaken. Now, don't get your hopes up and think I shit myself on the way to pick up Tom. I did not. I am a champ and held it all the way there....and all the way home. Granted, it is only a six minute drive (one way), but people let me tell you, it was one of the longest twelve minutes of my life! I survived the night with no accidents or mishaps and woke up this morning feeling 10 lbs. lighter. I think I may even be 10 lbs. lighter. So, thank you health services. I still have lower back pain, but no one can accuse me of being full of shit!

I'm full

My brain is full. I feel like I need to unload a bit of information-for sanity. I just spent the last hour or so looking at stuff on ebay. I got sucked in, and I couldn't stop. I did bid on a hutch for my dining room and it looks like I may get it for $5.50. Yes, folks, just over 5 bucks. All I have to do is drive down past Akron to pick it up. I'm not sure if it will suit us. It looked a little rough, but I can probably do something with it-because that's what I do. Which I guess leads me to my next topic. I have been thinking for a long time about what I want "to be when I grow up". I use that term loosely considering I'm almost 30. I just can't seem to find my place. I like so many things. I was talking to a lady I work with at our group holiday gathering last night. She and I are kindred spirits. We were discussing our passion for interior design and how both of us have a dream of doing it for our jobs-even owning our own business. We gave a clink of the wine glasses to someday going into business together. However, I need to go to school for it. I looked at Virginia Marti College of Art and Design. While I think it would fit me, and I would really be able to enjoy the stuff they can offer, I have a fear that no one will take me seriously. I feel as though everyone looks at me like I'm not living up to my potential if I don't become some business mogul or something. Hey, news flash, I don't really want that. I know I have a brain in my head, and that's enough for me. I don't feel like I have anything to prove to anyone, but at the same time, I feel like I would have to make excuses for why I chose to go to Virginia Marti College and not finish a Bachelor's degree at CSU or Akron or Kent. Maybe that is in the cards for me someday, but for now, I actually think it would be so fun to actually get to do what I love and learn how to do it properly. I researched some local design firms, and there are a few. One, in particular, looked interesting and the founder of the company is a graduate of Virginia Marti. So, I think I may just do it. I also thought about working on a real estate license and combining the two. Hey, I'll sell you a house and then decorate it for you. :)

In other news, Tom is going to day shift in a couple of weeks. Thank goodness. I don't do well not seeing him. I miss him terribly. I want to share in things with him like we used to. I know it's only been a couple of weeks, but I just don't feel complete unless he is with me. So, his shift change is fabulous news. He should be walking in the door any minute, and I can't wait.

I spent tonight cleaning and plan on working on arranging the office/spare room for Miss Taryn's visit that is approaching quickly. Also something to look forward to.

Well, now no one can bitch that I haven't posted. I hear the elevator. I'm out.

New Rules

I received these in an email and they express many sentiments that I feel, so here you go...

New Rule #1: Stop giving me that popup ad for Classmates.com! There's a
reason you don't talk to people for 25 years. Because you don't
particularly like them! Besides, I already know what the captain of the
football team is doing these days: mowing my lawn.

New Rule #2: Don't eat anything that's served to you out a window
unless you're a seagull. People are acting all shocked that a human
finger was found in a bowl of Wendy's chili. Hey, it cost less than a
dollar. What did you expect it to contain? Trout?

New Rule #3: Stop saying that teenage boys who have sex with their hot,
blonde teachers are permanently damaged. I have a better description
for these kids: lucky.

New Rule #4: Ladies, leave your eyebrows alone. Here's how much men
care about your eyebrows: do you have two of them? Okay, we're done.

New Rule #5: There's no such thing as flavored water. There's a whole
aisle of this crap at the supermarket, water, but without that watery
taste. Sorry, but flavored water is called a soft drink. You want
flavored water? Pour some scotch over ice and let it melt. That's your
flavored water.

New Rule #6: Stop screwing with old people. Target is introducing a
redesigned pill bottle that's square, with a bigger label. And the top
is now the bottom. And by the time grandpa figures out how to open it,
his ass will be in the morgue. Congratulations, Target, you just solved
the Social Security crisis.

New Rule #7: The more complicated the Starbucks order, the bigger the
a$$hole. If you walk into a Starbucks and order a "decaf grande
halfsoy, halflow fat, iced vanilla, doubleshot, gingerbread cappuccino,
extra dry, light ice, with one Sweetn'Low and one NutraSweet," ooh,
you're a huge a$$hole.

New Rule #8: I'm not the cashier! By the time I look up from sliding
my card, entering my PIN number, pressing "Enter," verifying the amount,
deciding, no, I don't want cash back, and pressing "Enter"
again, the kid who is supposed to be ringing me up is standing there
eating my Almond Joy.

New Rule #9: Just because your tattoo has Chinese characters in it
doesn't make you spiritual. It's right above the crack of you're a$$
and it translates to "beef with broccoli." The last time you did
anything spiritual, you were praying to God you weren't pregnant. You're
not spiritual; you're just high.

New Rule #10: Competitive eating isn't a sport. It's one of the seven
deadly sins. ESPN recently televised the US Open of Competitive Eating,
because watching those athletes at the poker table was just too
exciting. What's next, competitive farting? Oh wait. They're already
doing that. It's called "The Howard Stern Show."

New Rule #11: I don't need a bigger mega M&M. If I'm extra hungry for
M&Ms, I'll go nuts and eat two.

New Rule #12: If you're going to insist on making movies based on
crappy, old television shows, then you have to give everyone in the
Cineplex a remote so we can see what's playing on the other screens.
Let's remember the reason something was a television show in the first
place; It's because the idea wasn't good enough to be a movie.

New Rule #13: No more gift registries. You know, it used to be just
for weddings. Now it's for babies and new homes and graduations from
rehab. Picking out the stuff you want and having other people buy it for
you isn't gift giving, it's a version of looting.

New Rule #14: and this one is fifty years overdue: No more bathroom
attendants. After I zip up, some guy is offering me a towel and a mint
like I just had sex with George Michael. I can't even tell if he's
supposed to be there, or just some freak with a fetish. I don't want to
be on your web cam, dude. I just want to wash my hands.

New Rule #15: When I ask how old your toddler is, I don't need to know
in months. "27 Months." "He's two," will do just fine. He's not a
cheese. And I didn't care in the first place.

Waiting for the Blizzard

Well, it is almost 11 pm and the snow has not started yet. It will. We decided that since the weather is not looking so promising for the next few days, we are staying home for Thanksgiving. At first I was disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing my family, but now, I'm excited. I went the grocery store tonight and bought a feast for two. On the menu - ham, potatoes, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and apple cobbler. I know, I know - no turkey. That's right, there's not. Unfortunately, because we decided to stay home today, I couldn't get a turkey in time to thaw it for cooking. So, ham it is.

I look forward to being "snowed in" and spending our first Thanksgiving as husband and wife together.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The Times They Are A Changin

I am happy to report that my dear husband started his new job last night! Congratulations to him! I think he was kind of happy to re-enter the work force. Although it was tough when he walked out the door, and I was left in the silent house. The first night was weird, but I think I will like having some time to myself. I took a walk to the grocery store, picked up dinner, cleaned the kitchen, and baked cupcakes. I then relaxed and read a book - for pleasure. Something I have not been able to do for quite awhile, but now that school is done for the semester, I have the time.

I am also going to work out after work on the evenings that Tom is working (that sentence had a lot of "works" in it).

I think this may actually be good for me. I will miss him, though.

Ok, You Can Laugh Now!

I know I'm clutzy. I have been my whole life. If some strange accident is going to happen to someone...it will be me. Case in point - last night's trip to Wal-Mart.

Tom and I decided to buy one of those huge four wick candles ( they were only $5!). So, I am picking them all up to smell them. Well, part of the problem is that I am sick and can't smell a thing. So, I had the candle right up to my nose. For some reason, my hand slipped off the candle and it hit me right in the mouth. So, now, I'm crying, bleeding, and laughing in the middle of the candle isle. Tom is just staring at me to see what my reaction is going to be.

I must say thank you to my wonderful husband for asking me if I was ok and not laughing at me until I started laughing. I can't say that I could've been as nice. I have compassion, but I'm sure I looked rather ridiculous!

I've hit a low on the self-esteem scale

I know we all go through phases when we love ourselves and then have the times when we just can't stand to look in the mirror. I am in the hate phase. Lately, I have been down in the dumps about my weight, my hair, my skin, my clothes....you name it. I'm not posting this to fish for compliments. I have had this on my mind for the last week or so, and I just need to get it off my chest. Tom and I went to pick up some fall/winter clothes at the Kohl's sale and I didn't like anything I tried on, and this is the incident that started my downward spiral.

The thing that makes me the most angry is that I am the only one who can do anything about the way I look and feel. I know that I should eat better and exercise. I just have no discipline to actually do it. I sit here and write this and feel so stupid because I have the answer...I just don't do it. I want to. I just don't. Then, I get into the cycle of just feeling bad about myself. The worst part is, I'm a bit scared. I have been having some trouble feeling my toes. I know that it is weight related. My frame is too small to be carrying the weight that I do. I am afraid that I will have some serious health issues if I don't do something about this. I want to have children some day, and I could have some serious issues if I don't get myself healthy. I just have to put my mind to it and take care of myself. I think I'm so overwhelmed that I don't know where to begin.

That's Why They Make Menus?

Ok, I don't think I'm going to post about my mundane life anymore - because it is just that: mundane. And boring.

So, I am going to comment on The Apprentice last night. Donald Trump is a wack job. His antics in the Board Room last night were hilarious. He comments that he is amazed that Clay is gay and he is the last to know. He then proceeds to ask Clay just to make sure he is gay if he is attracted to Alla or the other girl on the team. Clay, of course, says no. Then The Donald says, "Well, that's why they make menus in restaraunts. Some people like steak and some people like spaghetti." Ok, that was the first set of antics that made me almost fall off the chair laughing. Second, The Donald point blank asks Adam if he is a virgin. Talk about an awkward moment. Adam, of course did not feel comfortable answering - obviously because he is, and that's ok. Donald then proceeds to tell him that sex is good and in 10 years he will be way more comfortable with it. The best part, however, is when Donald Trump goes onto explain how sex has gotten him into a lot of trouble and cost him a lot of money. It was absolutely hysterical! It almost made you forget he was an uptight millionaire businessman.

By the way, Clay did not say that Adam was a "tight ass Jew" He said he was a tight Jew, which, for the record, I think he meant "uptight". What astonished me was that Adam was offended when he had exploited the fact that he was a sweet innocent Jew from the beginning of the talk. And, did anyone else catch Clay's comment when they got in the elevator, "Don't even speak to me." Then, he pushed the door to the loft open in a very angry manner. Come on, Clay - did you really think that the team wasn't going to turn on you?

Finally, does Markus remind anyone else of Mr. Buckey? I'm kind of sad he is gone. Just as I would be sad to not hear stories from Mr. Buckey about alien cats and the people that live on the other side of the moon. My favorite part of the show was when Markus was playing with toys in front of the class while they were teaching. Way to go, Markus.

I don't have anything too fun to say about the Martha Apprentice except that I would give an ovary to share a muffin with her at her home in Bedford!

Um, yeah, that's my print job

So, my computer at work still is not set up for me to automatically print to my printer. I have to manually change the printer every time I print. Well, today I was working on a project that required me to print every fax cover sheet ever made up here (trust me it's a lot). I highlighted every document, right clicked, and hit print. The good news is...it's all done. The bad news is...I printed the entire stack of documents to my old department. They were trying to have a meeting and the printer is right in the office.

Karma, baby, karma!

Please just stop talking

Ok, I know that I talk a lot - so for those of you who get irritated with me, you can call me a hypocrite. I work with really really really great people. However, there is one woman who continuously talks and talks and talks. About everything. Then, when you try to get a word in to actually make it a "conversation"....forget it.

I hate to complain because I really like it here, but I just want to walk away right in the middle of conversations (a term I use loosely).
